Unfortunately as it is 1am here and I have work in the morning I will need to update you later on the progress of the malware bytes scan. I have run a search and received hits for wondershare in the following locations:Ĭ:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\WondershareĪfter some difficulty I have managed to run a malware bytes check which is still running at the moment. My reason for placing my enquiry here is as it doesn't seem easy to remove I doubt it's 100% above board. Rather stupidly only used windows own add remove for wondershare and I still seem to have the support bit installed (which I'd like to get rid of). I also noted that my avast anti-virus Chrome plugin had been disabled. I used ccleaner to remove spigot and adwcleaner to remove any other references thereof. I mainly use Chrome so became rather suspicious when my default search engine had changed from google to yahoo and it was mentioning spigot in the address bar. I downloaded wondershare converter and I have since been having a lot of problems with my laptop which runs MS Windows 8 64 bit edition. Unfortunately like many people I guess my first contact with your good selves is with a problem which I'm hoping you may be able to assist with.
